The official 2024 Baseball Roster for the University of Tennessee Volunteers is now available online. The roster features 118 players from all over the United States.
2024 Coaching Staff
The official Baseball Coach List for the University of Tennessee Volunteers has also been released. Tony Vitello, who has been the head coach since 2017, will be returning for his eighth season. He will be joined by assistant coaches Frank Anderson, Josh Elander, and Shelton Payne.
Vitello's Success
In his first year as head coach, Vitello led the Volunteers to a 29-27 record. He has since led the team to three NCAA Tournament appearances, including a berth in the College World Series in 2021. Vitello's success is due in part to his ability to recruit and develop young talent.
Perfect Coaching Staff
Assistant coach Frank Anderson has been with the Volunteers for five seasons and has helped the team to two NCAA Tournament appearances. Josh Elander is a former Volunteer who returned to the program as an assistant coach in 2023. Shelton Payne joined the staff in 2022 and has helped the team to improve its pitching staff.
